The Science of Medicine,
The Art of Healing

Our treatment philosophy is expressed as a blend of the modern and the traditional, combining the Science of Medicine and the Art of Healing.

Acupuncture and Chinese medicine are safe and effective treatments for many conditions, with a history dating back thousands of years. And although they were developed long before medical science existed, over the past 50 years, a growing body of research has validated their effectiveness according to the principles of anatomy, physiology, neurology, and immunology.

We believe in practicing evidence-based medicine and are informed by contemporary research which demonstrates the clinical effectiveness of acupuncture and Chinese medicine when developing treatment plans for our patients.

At the same time, we honor the traditional wisdom of acupuncture and Chinese medicine which recognizes that states of disease are caused by a “pattern of disharmony” unique to each person. We understand that health is a dynamic balance among the physiological, psychological, emotional, and spiritual aspects of an individual. Healing is not a “one size fits all” approach. Instead, it comes from recognizing the unique condition of each individual and devising a custom-tailored treatment plan suited to achieve the best outcome. Acupuncture and Chinese medicine uses time-tested, non-pharmacological, and non-surgical therapies to address the whole person to promote optimal health and wellness with no adverse side effects.
